PROCESSING
The technology includes a continuous reaction process in which ethylene oxide, hydrochloric acid, trimethylamine (TMA) are reacted under moderate conditions to produce Choline Chloride. The crude product from the synthesis section passes to an evaporator which separates the choline chloride product.
The Process Technology of choline chloride process is highly efficient, has low utility requirements and produces no liquid or vapour effluents. This process incorporates a number of features to safely handle the ethylene oxide and trimethylamine used within the process.
